What do amphorae have to do with the ancient games? What role did the goddess Nike play in the Olympic Games? And how can stop motion connect myth, history and creativity? In this workshop, children and adults become filmmakers! Drawing inspiration from the athletes depicted on ancient amphorae, they create their own stop motion film. Using digital tools, they bring to life the moment of an ancient athlete's race and victory. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the relationship between the goddess Nike and the Olympic Games, as well as the depictions of the sports of the ancient games on the amphorae.
