Description

This interactive workshop delves into the mysteries of Ancient Greek theatre, revealing how myths were transformed into dramatic performances through storytelling techniques. Participants will engage in hands-on activities like mask-making and sound design to experience ancient drama first-hand. The workshop features three interactive stations: the first, Masks of Gods and Heroes, invites participants to create their theatrical masks—tragic, comic, or satyr—based on mythological figures,
while learning about the significance of masks in Greek theatre. The second station focuses on theatre architecture, where participants explore the structure of ancient theatres through engaging puzzle-making activities. The third station immerses participants in the world of sound and music, showing how audio effects enhanced dramatic storytelling. Through these experiences, attendees will gain insight into how ancient performances shaped myth, culture, and storytelling traditions.
